from andrew H. in PA - January 3, 2009 do you put more than 1 household in a truck or do you have different size trucks Andrew,
We put more than one household on each moving truck, however, each customer gets a private compartment for their household. We do not mix the shipments up in a common area on the truck.
Movex Read More Questions from Jerri P. in GA - January 3, 2009 Hello, do you provide loading and unloading at all? Jerri,
Movex is a self-service mover. We provide the truck, fuel, driver, door-to-door transport, furniture blankets, loading ramps, tie-down straps, and a dolly. But, we do not provide loading and unloading services. There is a link at the top of this page to Eagle Labor Management. If you fill out a request there, they will get back to you with pricing for loading and/or unloading.
Movex Read More Questions from Sharon C. in WA - January 3, 2009 I need to move from WA to Brooklyn, NY. I read that you cannot go to Manhattan or Brooklyn because your trucks are 53 ft. long and too big for NYC streets. However, I also read that you have some 28ft. trucks available. How do these differ from each other besides the size? Are these too big for NYC as well?
A relative checked out ABF for me and they said that they could deliver to Brooklyn. The driver would stay with the truck to allow us a few hours to unload. They told him that the container was 28ft. long. What's the difference with your 28 footer and theirs?
It sounds like you would be a better fit for us since you also move cars with the household goods and we have a Prius to send. Also, you deliver on weekends which would help us a lot.
The smaller trucks are "straight" trucks and more like a Uhaul truck. Loading and unloading has to take place in under 4 hours, permits have to be acquired for parking, and the driver stays with the truck while you are loading. This is only available in Brooklyn. If you are moving to Manhattan, you should get a full-service mover in NYC to help you. They have the right equipment and know-how to accommodate you.
Movex Read More Questions from Gordon E. in TX - December 30, 2008 Do you have only long trailers for moving or do you also have something on the order of Pods? Also, do you have storage? We do not know yet what our moving date will be but have many boxes that could be put in storage until that time. Thanks Gordon,
Yes, we only have long moving van-type trailers. I would recommend putting your stuff into a mini-storage and then having us do an extra pickup for you on your loading day. The extra pickup is only $95. That would be the cheapest and safest way to deal with your situation.
Movex Read More Questions from Dan S. in MD - December 30, 2008 Our furniture is in storage with a regular moving company. How would we move it out to your truck? Dan,
The moving company probably has a loading dock. They are going to charge you to get your stuff out of storage, so I would just arrange for them to load it onto the Movex provided vehicle at their loading dock.

Movex Read More Questions from Sara C. in NE - December 25, 2008 We are planning a move late this Spring. Do you offer any type of a storage situation? We need to unload some of the furniture and boxes from our current house until it sells. Then add the rest and move to the new home. Do you offer any pod type containers in which items could be stored? Sara,
Movex is the MOST economical way to move across country... that being said, we do not offer any long-term storage. The cheapest and safest way to handle your situation is to get a unit in a mini-storage facility (most do not have long-term contracts) and then have us make an extra pickup at the facility on your loading day.
Movex Read More Questions from SHIRLEY B. in NV - December 23, 2008 WILL MOVEX ACTUALLY DELIVER TO MY NEW ADDRESS IN COUNCIL HILL, OK. OR WILL THEY DELIVER TO A TERMINAL IN TULSA, OK.? Shirley,
Movex provides a door-to-door solution for its customers. The only time we do not deliver door-to-door is when it is physically impossible to bring a moving truck onto your street. In that circumstance, we will bring the moving van as close as safely possible and you would need to shuttle your goods to your home. This rarely happens, but can be an unpleasant surprise that we always want to avoid. If you have questions about access to your home, please contact your relocation specialist to discuss options.
Movex Read More Questions from Jazmine C. in NY - December 23, 2008 Im relocating from NY to Tampa and the only thing i have to ship is clothes (for 4 people) and a computer. Do you do these type of shipments and whats the price range? Jazmine,
Movex is probably not going to be a good option for you. I would recommend taking your items to the UPS store and shipping them down here. That is probably going to be your least-expensive option for a small shipment like that.
